A male escort has compiled a 1,200-page dossier identifying 34 priests and seminarians in Italy as gay, and it’s already on its way to the Vatican. Cardinal Cresenzio Sepe, the archdiocese of Naples, said in a statement Sunday that he’d seen the dossier and sent it to the Vatican because of “the gravity of the cases for which those who have erred must pay the price, and be helped to repent for the harm done.” He said none of the priests named in the list work in Naples. Francesco Mangiacapra, the author of the dossier, which contains evidence including WhatsApp chats, told Italian media he compiled the document out of anger at the priests’ hypocrisy. In Sepe’s statement, Mangiacapra was quoted as saying that none of the priests were accused of having sex with minors. “We’re talking about sins, not crimes,” he said.
