Man Accused of Murdering Four Family Members in Rural Oregon Shot Dead by Cops

A man murdered four of his family members in rural Oregon but was fatally shot by cops as he was trying to kill a girl on Saturday, The Oregonian reported. Mark Leo Gregory Gago, 42, is suspected of the grisly slaying in Woodburn, the victims of which ranged from 9 months to 66 years, authorities said. “They were not shot," Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Brian Jensen said to reporters on Sunday. “We’re not sure what was used at this time. I’ve been told that there were numerous weapons, swords, things of that nature in the residence. The investigators are trying to determine what exactly was used to kill each person.” Two surviving family members were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said. Police allege that Gago went on his rampage about 10:15 p.m. “It was described as violent and a pretty hectic scene was being described to our call takers. … deputies found deceased adult female outside the residence,” Jensen also said, per The Oregonian.
