A man flying on a Delta Airlines flight from Washington, D.C. to Atlanta was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly shouting for all Jewish passengers to “raise their hands” and identify themselves while the plane was in midair. David Toaff, 37, was arrested after the plane landed at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, where social media posts from fellow passengers show that he was uncooperative with police.
“Preliminary information indicates that while in flight… a male was yelling, asking Jewish people on board to identify themselves and making remarks about bombings to passengers aboard the aircraft,” Officer Lisa Bender said told USA Today. “The male was taken into custody and charged with obstruction and disorderly conduct.” Toaff was later transported to Clayton County Jail.
