Cutest trafficked goods of all time? East Javan authorities arrested an Indonesian man accused of smuggling 10 rare kangaroos off New Guinea island. Five of the kangaroos had died when the suspect was nabbed while unloading his cargo in Surabaya. The small marsupials live in the New Guinea rainforest, and are said to have cost the alleged smuggler two million rupiah, or $212, each. If convicted, the suspect could face a fine of 100 million rupiah, or $11,000, and five years in jail. Fear not for the little creatures: The five surviving kangaroos were given to an animal sanctuary.
