Video purportedly showing a man getting kicked off a Delta Airlines plane Wednesday morning has gone viral over allegations that he was asked to leave just for speaking Arabic on the London-to-New York flight. “We spoke a different language on the plane, and now we’re getting kicked out,” said Adam Saleh, a prominent YouTube prankster personality, in the video. In the back of the plane, other passengers are shown saying, “bye!” and waving at Saleh. “You guys are racists,” Saleh replied. “Six white people against us bearded men.” Saleh is known for peddling discrimination hoaxes online, but in a statement, Delta confirmed the incident. “Two customers were removed from this flight and later rebooked after a disturbance in the cabin resulted in more than 20 customers expressing their discomfort,” the airline wrote in a statement. “We’re conducting a full review to understand what transpired. We are taking allegations of discrimination very seriously; our culture requires treating others with respect.” Other passengers on the flight have reportedly disputed Saleh’s claim that he was speaking Arabic on the phone with his mother during the boarding process.
