A man in the Canary Islands reportedly walked up to a stranger in a supermarket and cut off her head and then ran away with it, police said Friday. A government spokesperson on the Spanish island of Tenerife said that the man stole a knife from the supermarket before attacking the 60-year-old woman, reportedly a British national. Security guards chased the man, subduing him until police arrived. The suspect is reportedly an unemployed 28-year-old Bulgarian who security officials said was known in the area.
