A Texas man was sentenced to at least 75 years in jail for knowingly exposing an underage teenager to HIV. Matthew Louis Reese, 31, pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child with a deadly weapon, aggravated sexual assault with serious bodily injury, and sexual assault of a child for having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl when he knew he was HIV positive. The girl, who is now 17, said they never used a condom. She testified she never would have had sex with him if she knew he were HIV positive. Judge Pat McDowell could add another 20 years to Reese’s sentence on Thursday.
