Man’s Facelift and Eye Lift Take Decades Off His Appearance

Brian’s results look so natural that only a plastic surgeon could tell he’s had “work done.”

Brian lived a very active lifestyle at 67, but when he looked in the mirror, his reflection bothered him. The loose skin under his neck, heavy eyelids, and under-eye bags didn’t match his youthful inner energy.

That’s why, in October 2025, Brian (name changed) underwent plastic surgery with Indianapolis-based board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Mark Hamilton.

Dr. Hamilton told The Looker about his initial meeting with Brian: “He’s a super active guy. He looked in the mirror and saw this older man, and he goes, ‘That’s not how I feel.’”

Dr. Hamilton often sees male patients at Hamilton Facial Plastic Surgery, and he has noticed one key change within this clientele.

“Men were also doing these procedures 20 years ago,” he said. “What has changed is they are now a little more open to talking about it.”

Brian underwent two of the most in-demand procedures among Dr. Hamilton’s male patients: a facelift and a blepharoplasty.

“He was concerned about laxity in his lower face, the excess skin in the neck. That’s a common complaint I get with men,” Dr. Hamilton said. “And that’s best addressed with an extended deep plane facelift.”

The deep plane facelift is a full-face transformation: “That’ll lift the upper face and cheek area a little bit, improve the jowling, sagging in the face, and extra skin laxity in the neck.”

Brian's main concern was his neck. That is a common concern among men who visit Dr. Mark Hamilton.

For the tired appearance of his eyes, Brian underwent both an upper blepharoplasty, or eyelid lift, and a lower blepharoplasty.

“An upper blepharoplasty is a nice way to rejuvenate the upper eyelids without creating too much of a startled appearance; you definitely don’t want that,” Dr. Hamilton explained.

The goal was to subtly open Brian’s gaze with the procedure and address the puffiness under his eyes with a lower blepharoplasty. Dr. Hamilton also removed some moles.

In total, the combination of procedures lasted five and a half hours.

Dr. Hamilton’s goal is to always have his patients out in public in two weeks.

“It’s rare that a patient can’t do that,” Dr. Hamilton said.

“With women, it’s a little easier because they can wear their hair down, put camouflage makeup on, and definitely get back in public. For men, it’s a little trickier,” he continued. “But I don’t think Brian had any problems getting back out in two weeks with his procedure.”

Once the results settled in, Brian looked visibly refreshed, without any telltale signs of plastic surgery.

His neckline was sharper, his eyes appeared more rested, and his overall appearance was subtly lifted.

A similar transformation, including anesthesia, costs around $50,000 at Dr. Hamilton’s practice.

The results were exactly what Brian wanted: the man in the mirror reflected the man he felt he was on the inside.

“He was extremely happy,” Dr. Hamilton said. “He felt like even people received him differently when he was in public, and that he looked more youthful.”
