The man accused of fatally shooting three Muslim students in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, was indicted on three counts of murder Monday. Craig Stephen Hicks, 46, was also charged with one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, according to the Durham County Clerk’s Office. Hicks is accused of killing 23-year-old Deah Barakat, a University of North Carolina dentistry student; his wife, Yusor Abu-Salha, 21; and her 19-year-old sister Razan Abu-Salha. Police say a dispute over parking prompted last week’s shooting, but the FBI is investigating whether it was a hate crime.
