Six people were stabbed to death on the British isle of Jersey early Sunday, and police said they had arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the killings. Five were declared dead at the scene while a sixth died while undergoing emergency surgery at a local hospital, police said. Police said two young children were among the victims, and neighbors said the victims were all in the same family. The murder suspect also sustained injuries in the attack, but police said his injuries were not life threatening. Stewart Gull, head of investigative services for States of Jersey Police, said it had been “pretty traumatic” for emergency services called to the scene, as crime is rare on the British isle.
