The next time you're looking to buy a coffin on Craigslist, make sure you read the fine print. An Iowa man who put up a classified ad for an oak coffin failed to mention one important detail about his product—the bones inside. Dave Burgstrum says the bones inside the $12,000 casket have been there "as long as anyone could remember." They were used, he says, for a ritual conducted by the International Order of Odd Fellows, a global fraternity dedicated to the poor. Records indicate that the skeleton was donated by a doctor in the 1880s.
