What judge wouldn’t sympathize with this guy’s plight? Jose Martinez was just exiting the tunnel in Disneyland’s “It’s a Small World” when the ride shut down. Staff evacuated all the riders except for Martinez, who is paraplegic and needed a wheelchair. Martinez was trapped in the ride for half an hour. “The music was still blaring,” said his attorney. “They couldn’t get it to go off.” A California court awarded Martinez $8,000 in damages.
