Michael Steven Sandford, a 20-year-old Briton, was indicted on weapons charges Wednesday for allegedly trying to steal a gun from a police officer during a Las Vegas rally for Donald Trump. The indictment does not accuse of Sandford of plotting to kill the presumed GOP presidential nominee, though at the time he stated that was his intention. Sandford faces as much as 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 for each charge. He is facing two felony counts for being an undocumented immigrant in possession of a gun and one felony count of impeding and disrupting the orderly conduct of government business.
