The man who lit himself on fire yesterday on the National Mall has died at the hospital from his injuries—which are so severe that DNA and dental records will have to be used to identify the body. Witnesses say around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon, the man doused himself in gasoline and set himself ablaze. Nearby joggers took off their shirts to extinguish the flames. Police say he was breathing and conscious when firefighters arrived and airlifted him to a hospital.
