Regardless of today's Super Bowl outcome, Peyton Manning has got at least one major win in the bag. Last night, Manning was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player for the fifth time, which is two more than any player in history. He received 49 votes from the Associated Press' panel of 50 members. New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady received the only other. This past season, Manning broke the single-season passing records with 5,477 yards and 55 touchdowns. He is also now the only player to win the MVP award with two different teams. Oh, and he won Offensive Player of the Year, too. NBD.
