Leslie Van Houten, the youngest member of the infamous Manson family cult, has been tentatively approved for parole after being denied 19 previous times. The 66-year-old, convicted in 1969 for the killings of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca, was deemed “suitable for parole” after a hearing at the California Institution for Women in Chino. The full parole board has 120 days to review the finding after which, if upheld, Gov. Jerry Brown will have another 30 days to decide to approve or not.
