Sen. Marco Rubio managed to win the Minnesota Republican presidential caucuses on Super Tuesday, scoring his first victory in the 2016 primary season, according to multiple outlets. The Florida senator fell short of defeating GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in Virginia, where Rubio received a big boost among college-education voters and Republicans in Washington, D.C., suburbs. However, by 11 p.m. ET, Trump had managed to sweep six states while Texas Sen. Ted Cruz claimed two wins. Minnesota was projected to be one of Rubio’s best chances at a Super Tuesday win.
