Hundreds of members of New Orleans’ biggest Mardi Gras parade krewe have resigned to protest the captain’s “All Lives Matter” tweet. Julia Lea, a former police officer, apologized for the post, claiming she didn’t understand its implications. But there are calls for her to resign as head of the 3,500-member Mystic Krewe of Nyx, NOLA.com reports. Several dozen members of the all-female organization gathered Saturday at the headquarters to protest Lea, who gave no comment.
