Pfc. Joseph Scott Pemberton was found guilty of killing a transgender woman in the Philippines on Tuesday. The marine was sentenced to 6 to 12 years in prison for the death, which occurred while he was on shore leave. Pemberton is said to have killed Jennifer Laude by drowning her in a toilet after finding out about her gender history.
