Mark David Chapman Denied Parole

Lennon Stalker

Beatle's killer has served nearly 30 years.

Yoko Ono, once again, is relieved: John Lennon’s killer, Mark David Chapman, remains behind bars after being denied parole—for the sixth time—on Tuesday. Chapman met, via video conference, with a three-member parole board panel at the Attica Correctional Facility. Sentenced to 20 years to life in prison after shooting the former Beatles' member four times outside his New York City apartment on December 8, 1980, Chapman first had a parole hearing in 2000; his next eligible try is in two years. Chapman has been imprisoned for nearly 30 years.
