Marlins’ Dee Gordon Suspended for PEDs

Miami Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon has been suspended for 80 games after he tested positive for the performance-enhancing drugs Clostebol and exogenous testosterone. Gordon, who won the National League batting title last season with a .333 average, has a $50 million, five-year contract with the team. “Dee Gordon is a very important part of our team, and we all love him and support him,” said Marlins President David Samson. “That said, I don’t like or condone what he did,” adding, “In the interim period, we expect him, and we are positive that he will do everything that’s necessary to make it up to his fans, to his teammates, and to this organization.”
