It hasn't been the best season for the Miami Marlins, but things were looking up on Sunday when pitcher Henderson Alvarez threw a no-hitter. The Marlins won the game 1-0 after Detroit Tigers reliever Luke Putkonen threw a wild pitch with the bases loaded in the ninth inning, allowing Miami to score. A perfect game was never in the cards as Alvarez hit a batter with a pitch in the first inning. Only two other Tigers made it past the batter's box. Jose Iglesias made it to first thanks to an error by Marlins shortstop Adeiny Hechevarria and Andy Dirks was walked in the ninth.
