Netflix announced at the Television Critics Association meeting on Tuesday that it is aiming to release a Marvel superhero series every six months. Marvel partnered with the streaming-video service to bring five new shows featuring comic-book characters from The Defenders, which is a street-level Avengers team. Daredevil was the first to debut in April and the next show, Jessica Jones, is expected to run before the end of 2015. Series for characters Iron Fist and Luke Cage will follow. After each character gets a scripted Marvel series, all four heroes will join forces for a Defenders show.
