Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley has some news:
This morning, I signed a proclamation officially confirming the results of the 2012 election. This means that Maryland courthouses can now issue licenses to same-sex couples to get married starting in January 2013.
A great day for same sex couples in Maryland. A great day for all Maryland families. A great day for love, union, and the institution of marriage.
