"Egypt will return to Islamic sharia law! Liberals and secularists are the enemies of Allah! The solution is Islam!" shouted the crowd. A recent Newsweek/Daily Beast poll showed the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice party poised to win the largest share of the vote in Egypt’s upcoming parliamentary elections. The Muslim Brotherhood was outlawed under former President Hosni Mubarak.
