Mass Shootings Not Actually on the Rise

Despite the recent evidence.

Though the country has already dealt with two major shootings during this week alone, mass shooting haven’t increased nationally. Northeastern University criminologist James Allen Fox has been tracking shootings with four or more fatalities from 1976 to 2012. He provided his data to New York and showed there haven’t been upward swings in incidents nor total victims. There are also isn’t an increase specifically in the number of school shooting victims. Why does it seem like there’s more gun violence? Thank the media coverage.
