Northeastern University criminologist James Allen Fox has been tracking shootings with four or more fatalities from 1976 to 2012. He provided his data to New York and showed there haven’t been upward swings in incidents nor total victims. There are also isn’t an increase specifically in the number of school shooting victims. Why does it seem like there’s more gun violence? Thank the media coverage.
