A massive winter storm dumping snow and freezing rain across the Southeast has forced the cancellation of more than 1,000 flights and left more than 300,000 people without power, according to NBC News. Saluda, North Carolina was hit with more than 18.5 inches of snow on Sunday, while Asheville Regional Airport reported almost 10 inches of snow. Greensboro, North Carolina is expected to be hit with one foot of snow. The storm started traveling East after leaving up to 10.5 inches of snow in some regions of Texas, NBC News said. Northern Georgia got 7.5 inches of snow, while portions of northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia got 10 inches. The storm is expected to weaken by Monday.
