Former Florida congressman Matt Gaetz has seemingly lined up his next gig.
President-elect Donald Trump’s failed attorney general nominee is reportedly joining One America News Network (OANN) as an anchor, starting in 2025.
CNN National Correspondent Kristen Holmes reported the news Monday night on X, citing a source familiar with the matter.
Media reporter Oliver Darcy also broke the news in his newsletter on Monday night that Gaetz is set to host a nightly primetime show on the network, as well as a video podcast.

While Gaetz, 42, has yet to confirm the news himself, it seems the right-wing network already has a page on their website dedicated to the upcoming project—titled The Matt Gaetz Show—which it says is “coming soon.”

Gaetz’s new TV gig comes on the heels of Trump’s controversial decision last month to nominate the Florida firebrand to lead the Department of Justice.

Trump’s pick resurfaced a raft of embarrassing stories for Gaetz, who was embroiled in an investigation spearheaded by the House Ethics Committee.
Immediately after Trump went public with Gaetz as his pick for attorney general, the Florida representative resigned from the chamber—effectively ending an Ethics Committee probe that began as early as 2021.
The Ethics Committee’s investigation was paused while Gaetz was under investigation by the Justice Department for allegations of sex trafficking.
Federal prosecutors eventually declined to charge the former congressman, and the House committee resumed its investigation in 2023.
Since Gaetz’s resignation in November, the Ethics Committee has declined to release their findings, with Republicans and Democrats seemingly deadlocked on the issue.
Gaetz has continuously denied all of the allegations against him.
Gaetz withdrew his name from contention just eight days after he had been announced, a stunning turnaround that cast a cloud of uncertainty over his political future.
Trump proceeded to nominate another fierce ally, former Florida attorney general, Pam Bondi, instead.
“I’m still going to be in the fight, but it’s going to be from a new perch. I do not intend to join the 119th Congress,” Gaetz told conservative commentator Charlie Kirk in an interview on Nov. 22, noting that he has “some other goals in life that I’m eager to pursue with my wife and my family.”
Gaetz married his wife, Ginger Luckey, in 2021. She is the sister of Oculus VR founder and Republican donor Palmer Luckey.
