President Donald Trump has reached a decision on American troop levels in Afghanistan, Defense Secretary James Mattis told reporters Sunday on his way to Jordan. Mattis declined to reveal the president’s decision, adding the review process was “sufficiently rigorous.” Trump will address the nation on Monday night from Fort Myer to reveal his strategy. Trump is reportedly expected to announce a surge of a few thousand troops in the country where the U.S. has been fighting for more than 15 years.
