Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa insisted on Sunday that his city would “not tolerate” Christopher Dorner’s “reign of terror,” as exhausted police have increased the reward to $1 million in the manhunt for the fugitive ex-cop suspected of killing three. Police evacuated a home-improvement store in Northridge, California, after a possible sighting of the fugitive was reported, as helicopters hovered overhead and shoppers were told they could leave but not remove their cars. A report in Britain’s Daily Express claimed that drones are being used in the search for Dorner—if true, he would be the first human target on U.S. soil. Dorner allegedly went on a killing spree last week in an apparent revenge rampage against the LAPD for firing him.
