British police released images of a man sought in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, who vanished from a Portuguese resort in 2007 when she was three years old. Metropolitan Police created computer-generated pictures of the man who two eyewitnesses said was near the Praia da Luz resort the night Madeleine disappeared. “This man may or may not be the key to unlocking this investigation, tracing him and speaking to him is of vital importance to us,” said Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood. “Although Portuguese authorities closed the case in 2008, Metropolitan Police said in July that British authorities and Madeleine’s parents “continue to believe there is a possibility that Madeleine is alive.” Madeleine’s parents will appear on BBC’s Crimewatch on Monday night.
