Melissa McCarthy said Thursday she will return for the Gilmore Girls reboot on Netflix and reprise her role as Sookie St. James. “Literally about an hour and half ago we figured out that I’m gonna go back and do it and I am so excited,” McCarthy revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “And they are gonna be amazing.” The 45-year-old added that initially there were scheduling conflicts, but it has since been worked out. Series original stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are also set to return for the four-part revival.
