Some bleak words from the top military leader in Afghanistan: In a recent virtual town hall meeting, Gen. Stanley McChrystal admitted, "We’ve shot an amazing number of people and killed a number and, to my knowledge, none has proven to have been a real threat to the force." The comments came in response to a question about the "escalation of force" proble in Afghanistan. The general also said that no vehicle fired on by U.S. troops has ever “had a suicide bomb or weapons in it," and that they sometimes held families.
