Doctors and medical experts from around the world convened at the 40th annual MEDICA conference, the world's largest medical trade fair, which took place in Dusseldorf Nov. 18-21. The most notable innovation emerged in the field of imaging, which debuted a new generation of ultrasound devices that make it possible to image the nerve and its surrounding tissue structures. The technology allows doctors to detect tumors, nerve inflammations, and injuries. Also popular at the convention was the trend for home health care and telemedical devices, which allow doctors to monitor patients from home.
