Megyn Kelly is expected to “wind down” her morning show by the end of the season. Kelly reportedly met with network executives in recent weeks and she “expressed a desire to cover more news and politics.” She met with NBC News Chairman Andy Lack “well before” she was hit with backlash for defending blackface on her show. In a town hall, Lack lamented Kelly’s on-air comments. “There is no other way to put this, but I condemn those remarks—there is no place on our air or in this workplace for them. Very unfortunate,” he said. Kelly jumped from a prime-time Fox News show to a daytime Today show hour for a salary that is reportedly close to $20 million. Since the move, Kelly has experienced low ratings.
