A local activist was killed in the middle of his weekly radio program in the Mexican state of Sinaloa on Saturday. Atilano Roman Tirado was currently also working on advocating for hundreds of families displaced by a dam. According to prosecutors, two men walked into the station and asked for him, then one went into the studio and shot him. Listeners could hear his co-worker yelling "Oh no, he killed him, he killed him," before the transmission went off air.
