Mexico Arrests 14-Year-Old Hitman

The 14-year-old hitman known as “El Ponchis” was arrested with his sister by Mexican authorities around midnight Thursday attempting to board a plane to Tijuana. The siblings said they intended to cross the border into San Diego to visit their mother. The youth, whose real name is Edgar Jimenez, was in charge of conducting beheadings and cutting victims’ genitalia on behalf of a drug cartel. Jimenez confessed on video to the killings of several men found hanging from a bridge south of Mexico City, adding that he sometimes worked with his sisters, who served as decoys to lure victims. Jimenez had been wanted since October.
