Ronald Poppo, the man whose face was chewed off during an attack in May 2012, is adjusting well, according to his doctors. Poppo lost roughly 75 percent of his face, including his nose, mouth, and eyes. Though blind, Poppo has relearned how to get dressed, feed himself, shower, and shave. Poppo thanked his supporters in a video for their kindness during his ordeal. "People in my predicament need to be helped out," he said while strumming a guitar. "I thank the outpouring of people in the community." Despite being disfigured, Poppo opted against pursuing more facial reconstruction.
