Retired Army Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, a possible vice presidential choice for presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, said that he was pro-choice when it comes to abortion during an appearance on ABC’s This Week. “I think women have to be able to choose… sort of, the right of choice,” said Flynn, adding, “They are the ones that have to make the decision because they’re the ones that are going to decide to bring up that child or not.” He also added that same-sex marriage is not a big issue. Trump has had a lot of different comments on abortion, veering from being pro-choice to suggesting there should be “punishments” for women who have abortions.
