Actor Michael Jace has reportedly confessed to the murder of his wife, April, according to the Los Angeles Times. He was charged Tuesday with with the crime after he called police to their home in Los Angeles on Monday night and told them he shot his wife. Jace played Detective Julien Lowe in FX’s The Shield from 2002 to 2008, which was his longest-running role. He also had a recurring role on Southland and appeared on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, NYPD Blue, and The Mentalist. TMZ reported Tuesday that papers from a 1997 divorce detailed domestic violence against then-wife Jennifer Bitterman.
