Microsoft is acquiring LinkedIn, the company announced Monday. The move is a cash deal valued at $26.2 billion. Both companies’ boards of directors approved the acquisition unanimously. Under the new deal, LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner will report to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. After the announcement, the LinkedIn share price jumped 48 percent.
