Microsoft unveils Tuesday the online version of its Office software suite—an attempt to fight back against Google as it captures market share with Google Apps. The new online applications will be called Office 365. It will cost $2 per user per month, for basic email services, to $27 per user per month for the most advanced offerings. (Google charges business $50 per year.) Data will be hosted remotely, but companies will also be able to keep data on their own premises.
