Is Microsoft’s late entry into the smart phone market enough to take on Apple and Google? Microsoft unveiled seven new handsets on Monday that will run on the company’s new mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7. AT&T showed off three devices, one by Samsung, LG, and HTC each, which are priced at $199.99 with a two-year contract. They’ll go on sale November 8. Gizmodo, meanwhile, offers a preview of some of the operating system’s early apps, including a tower-defense game that shifts perspective as you move the phone.
