The future queen, Kate Middleton, says she will continue to work at her parents’ online party supply business until her wedding. After that, she’s expected to begin her official royal duty of patronizing charities, though there’s no word yet which charities those will be. “It’s likely to start with a small number of charities and grow from there. Nothing has been decided as yet, and you have to bear in mind that most charities already have patrons, and a lot of them have Royal patrons, who you can’t just elbow aside,” said a senior royal source. Middleton has worked for her parents’ firm since 2007, when she stopped being an accessories buyer for the clothing store Jigsaw. She briefly appeared on the website, blogging about parties from her childhood as “Kate from Party Pieces,” but has since taken a more back-room role.
