Former CIA Director Mike Pompeo was confirmed by the Senate as secretary of state on Thursday with a vote of 57-42. Pompeo has been under scrutiny recently for allegedly not disclosing former business ties he had with China, and reportedly faced an uphill battle for his confirmation. Pompeo has reportedly already met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in the run-up toward a possible U.S.-North Korea summit this summer.
