According to the latest U.S. Census data, millennials in the U.S. now outnumber baby boomers. There are now 83.1 million millennials (people born between 1982 and 2000) in the U.S., adding up to over a quarter of a population. In comparison, there are only 75.4 million baby boomers (people born between 1946 and 1964). 44.2 percent of millennials and over half of all Americans under 5 years old are also part of a minority racial or ethnic group.
