The Minnesota Timberwolves selected University of Kentucky’s Karl-Anthony Towns as their No. 1 pick in the NBA draft Thursday.“This is what you live for,” Towns said on ESPN. The Los Angeles Lakers took D’Angelo Russell as the No. 2 pick, while the Philadelphia 76ers selected Jahlil Okafor as No. 3. The 19-year-old, 6-foot-11 Towns averaged 10.3 points and 6.7 rebounds for the Wildcats, who made it to the Final Four before losing in the semifinals to Wisconsin.
