Caitlyn Jenner chose her new name after watching the Miss America pageant for several years and keeping a list of names she liked, according to Vanity Fair. She told the magazine that two names, Heather and Cathy, stuck with her but she ultimately went with “Caitlyn” after her assistant Rhonda suggested it.
