Miss Connecticut, also known as Erin Brady, 25, won the crown of Miss USA on Sunday night—although she was nearly upstaged by Miss Utah, Marissa Powell, whose rambling answer has already gone viral. Powell was asked about recent reports that show that 40 percent of households have women as the primary breadwinner, and she answered by giving a fairly incoherent answer that ended with “we need to figure out how to … create education better so we can solve this problem.” Aw, maybe she was nervous. Going back to Brady, she answered a question about the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on DNA testing. As winner, Brady will get an apartment in New York for one year and is expected to go on a nationwide tour for breast-cancer awareness.
