Mitt Camp Compares Santorum With Gingrich

Mitt Romney is trying to discredit opponent Rick Santorum by comparing him with another one of his competitors, Newt Gingrich. “If you liked Newt Gingrich, wait ’til you get to know Rick Santorum,” reads the subject line of a release sent out by Romney's campaign Tuesday. Both candidates, the release suggests, are “career politicians” who “were pushed out of office by those who know them best.” In the email, Romney’s spokesperson insists that “Mitt Romney offers something different. He is not a creature of Washington. He offers the kind of private sector and chief executive experience that career politicians can’t match.”
